Line of defense Alps

Along the border to Austria there was built a line of defense. The line of defense contained bunkers, command posts, antitank barriers, caserns and supply lines. It was built to protect the country from a German invasion in the Second World War.

Many bunkers were classified by the local government as cultural and educational monuments and can therefore be visited all over the year.
The exhibition in the Etschquell-bunker „Vocca“ shows and explains 20 different obstacles of the line of defense.
